Increasing Your Business Growth By Hiring A Web Department

Your website is the chief contact that a potential customer has with your business. Your website must be easy to maintain, visually engaging, loved by search engines, business focused, and developed by a professional team. The web department is responsible for developing and maintaining your site. So hiring an individual team for this is the superb idea for growing your business.

The members of the web department are the web director, the associate web director, the web intern and the application developers. The major responsibilities of the members of this department are publishing an online version of the paper, coding in CSS, XHTML, and PHP for particular online features, coding in MYSQL and AJAX for web projects, coding in FLASH, PHP and/or JAVA to develop interactive web design applications.

The web director is the leader of the web department who looks over all the members of the team. He/she participates in different kinds of web-related work. He is involved in hiring other members of the web department and providing good education and training as needed. He/she also makes managerial decisions about the website and influences technology-based decisions made by the board. The position of the director is not an entry-level position.

The associate web director works with the director and is mainly responsible for coding and publication of web projects and features. The associate director can share the web director’s work as needed. The position of the associate director is an entry-level, salaried position.

The web intern is a member in training who desires to rank high in the future. The primary duties of the web intern depend on the work type that is required, but usually involve helping other employees with common computer-based questions and working on small web-based projects with the web director or the associate web director. The web intern contributes to the website by learning more about how it works.

Application developers are the members of the web department responsible for creating dynamic, interactive applications for the website for special stories and features. They are not responsible for any web-based work. The application developers need extensive experience with coding with Flash, JAVA, PHP, and/or other high-level programming languages.

The web department allows strategic goals to become united within the company, and focuses on managing products, permitting your business to benefit from productive online presence, without financial problem. It constantly monitors your online presence for functionality errors, usability issues, compatibility issues, and malware issues and removal. It uses active and integrated approach to online business and efficiently manages company’s web properties.
